AAHGS-DC Member Wins Paul Sluby Scholarship Award from Board for Certification of Genealogists

Recently it was announced that James Dent Walker Chapter member, Mr. James R. Morgan III was one of three awardees of the inaugural Paul Sluby scholarship for African American Genealogists. This award was granted by the Board for Certification of Genealogists and will allow Mr. Morgan to attend his choice of one of the most prestigious genealogical institutes in the country. Mr. Morgan has decided to use his award to attend the Mid-West African American Genealogical Institute which will be held in July of 2021. Ms. LaJoy Mosby, President of the Central Maryland Chapter of AAHGS was also awarded this same prize.
