From Roots to Ancestry: Doing Black Family History - ASALH 106th Annual Conference Plenary Session

This tremendous session includes a rich oral history of the Afro American Historical and Genealogical Society (AAHGS).

Two founding member of AAHGS, Elizabeth Clark-Lewis of Howard University, and Debra Newman Ham of Morgan State University (retired), are featured with Kendra Field of Tufts University for this plenary session From Roots to Ancestry: Doing Black Family History. Unfortunately, Gina Paige from African Ancestry, Inc was not present for this discussion.

This 106th Annual Meeting and Virtual Conference of The Association for the Study of African American Life and History Plenary Session was co-hosted by the ASALH Florida Branches, and our James Dent Walker DC Chapter of AAHGS.
